Background Checks

Pennsylvania state law mandates every volunteer working with children obtains the following security clearances:

1.       Child Abuse Background Check (free)

(You will need to “Create a New Account” to receive a Keystone ID.  You can then go back into the website and “Access My Clearances” using your recently received Keystone ID to fill out the application.  You will want to use the option of “Volunteer Having Contact With Children” before entering your individual information.)

2.       PA State Police Background Check (free)

https://epatch.state.pa.us/Home.jsp

(Go to “New Record Check” (Volunteers Only) to begin your application.  After you agree to terms you will see the option under Reason for Request “VolunteerFREE” at the top of the form.  Complete the application and submit.)

3. Signed Disclosure Form
